After college, John attended the prestigious Howard University School of Law in Washington, D.C. At Howard, John concentrated his studies on becoming a sports agent and attorney and his coursework included Contract Law, Sports & Entertainment Law, Labor & Employment Law, Negotiations, and Arbitrations.
Furthermore, John was a member of the Entertainment Law and Sports Association. John received his Juris Doctor degree in May of 1998 and was licensed to practice law by the Texas Supreme Court in 1999.
After graduation from Howard, John was employed by the law firm of Ihfe & Associates, P.C. in San Antonio, Texas where his sports law experience included the representation of a pro baseball player at a contested grievance arbitration hearing pursuant to the Major League Baseball Collective Bargaining Agreement.
In 2009, John became certified as a Contract Advisor by the NFL Players Association.
In 2011, John became certified as a Player Agent by the MLB Players Association.
John has undergone extensive training pertaining to the arbitration process in professional sports.
John has two daughters Abigail & Ava and has obtained a black belt in karate.
